Chapter 1
All five girls rushed into class.
“ Whew! I’m glad we made it to class before the bell rang!” said Mist.
“ Yeah, otherwise we would have gotten tardy again.” Icey added.
“ Alright, settle down class,” said Ms. Burg, “ We have a lot to do today.” The class gave a big groan.
“Yes ma’am.”
“But . . .”
She paused for a build up,
“ We get to meet the author of our study book, Animal Studies Basics!!!!”
Breathing was the only thing that you could hear. We were waiting for her to say “just kidding”. Only Willow was actually excited.
“I said, we will be meeting Mr.Pencil at the Animal studies museum.”
You see, Ms. Burg is a GREAT teacher, but she always misses the important parts. Anyways, in a week we were going to the Animal studies museum. In no time, the bell rung.
“I can’t wait!!!!” Willow practically screamed. Icey and Mist stared at her. They knew that she liked animals, but they didn't know that she liked them that much.
“ Willow, you don’t have to be so loud.” Scarlet said,
“ It’s not like everyone loves animals like you do.”
“Sorry!” Willow squeaked.
”It’s fine.” Scarlet said.
They all scampered onto the afternoon bus. It took them to their five homes, right beside each other.
“ Hey guys, wanna do homework together?” Scarlet suggested.
“ Sure!” Willow exclaimed. Willow was super energetic because of the news of the field trip. She happily bounded up the front steps of Scarlet’s house. Mist asked Icey if they could work on the water project together. Icey happily said yes to her cousin.
All five were cousins, and their moms were sisters. All of them went inside Scarlet’s beautiful house. They were excited to begin. They went to work in the garden. All four girls gasped. There, in front of them, was a big statue of mother nature made of . . . . . Jewls! It was also lined with rose gold, and went all the way up to her head and down to her toes, it was GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
There were diamonds on her legs, and rubys on her hands. It was the most beautiful statue they had ever seen. If you are wondering how that statue was there, let me explain. When they walked in Mist and Icey kicked something, They of course did not notice at first, but when they looked up, They saw a frozen statue of mother nature looking down at them. All of them stared at it, amazed by the sudden appearance. The four of them went to their moms and asked them why the statue was there. They just shrugged.” All of them just looked at the statue then they started hearing little by little. . .
“ Scarlet, Mist, Willow, Icey, Luna. ” a soothing voice murmured. Of course all five girls didn’t have ordinary lives, but this was bizaar!
Chapter 2
Still shocked by what had happened on Friday, the four girls went to school. They were at school, but their minds were still on that statue they encountered on Friday. The only thought in their heads was, “ Why was that statue saying our names? ”
They were also surprised because statues aren’t supposed to talk. The funny thing was, they didn’t see the statue talk. It was like they could just hear it in their mind. All of them knew that now that they’ve seen one weird thing, life wasn’t going to be the same for the five girls.
Despite the girl’s wonders and worries that Mother Nature might have turned into a statue, the day was the best one in the week. Because, of course, Friday was 3 days ago, and it was the start of a new school week.
After they finished homeroom, which was the history of flight,(boring!!!) all four girls rushed to their next class, underwater biology, (Mist’s fav) they took their stalls and changed into their underwater proof clothes (that had water proof phone cases!)
Each girl had their own waterproof attire, even though Willow was the only one that had an elaborate swimsuit with a rose gold headpiece (that was actually only plated because of the weight ) because she was part of the school’s synchronise swimming team. While Mist excitedly jumped in, Icey and Scarlet hesitated. Then, Willow said, “ Meet you guys at lunch? ''So all four girls agreed to meet each other at lunch after water biology classes.
After Scarlet reluctantly climbed in, Mist instantly said, “um… is it just me.. Or is it really hot in here? ''Scarlet instantly got out . Icey finally jumped in when Mist immediately started to shiver. Icey nervously laughed and went back out to change like Scarlet. So while they changed, Mist started to do laps so she could warm up when they went underwater to study.
On the other side of the 1st aquarium, ( pool) Willow was instead practicing for the next synchro competition in June. With one short breath, she did a pipeline, then flipped and treaded water together with the team, and finally finished with a shoot up.
“ Wahooo!! U go girl!!! “
Oh no. That was Lilac split, and last year, she tried to mind boozle Luna to leave the group and join her group of silly, strange, fall at your knees dramatic girl group. It worked for some time, but luckily, she escaped, but did not blame them. Could this happen again? Luckily, no. Luna ignored her and talked to her team mate, Rita Glassstone, about swim leotards.
“So, do you wanna do the green ones or the orange ones?”
“ white! Obviously!”
“ Rita, we.. can't.”
“We're out of white waterproof fabric cause YOU used it all up.”
“O-oh..” Rita laughed nervously.
Chapter 3
The Mysteries revealed
That day as they were walking home from school, they saw the statue of Mother Nature again. They once again heard a faint, but powerful voice. “You four have the most powerful gifts. My eternal essence and blessing will be trapped forever along with your mother’s if you do not save us…. “
Icey quickly looked around “Ok. . . . There’s no one here, guys. She is talking about us.
Mist’s palms started to sweat. Or, that’s what the girl’s thought. They went closer to her and then realized that instead of sweating, she was concentrating. She was concentrating on her powers.
Soon, one by one all the girls started to do it too. They all stared into Mother Nature's mystical and entrancing eyes, and began to realize their true power.They fell into a deep trance where Mother Nature told the girls the legend of the four sisters.
Once upon a time, there lived four sisters. They were Mother Nature’s daughters. Mother told them that they would have to keep the peace and harmony of Earth. And so, they took care of this world without any mishaps or trouble. Peace was all over Lightillia.
One day, it was time for them to get married to unite and make their power stronger with love. That was the most widely celebrated holiday on Earth. According to the legend, the husbands of the four girls would hold in place the dark power of this world. But, that isn’t what happened. As soon as the men took on the dark power, the power that lied within overtook the men, And they almost destroyed the world. But just in time, a miracle blossomed. The four sisters gave birth to baby girls. And, so much power was released, that the men were driven to another world. But, on the girls’ 11th birthday, the four men are sure to return.
“Waiittt . . . ,” Scarlet thought out loud. “We are the four daughters of the four sisters, aren’t we?”
“Now you understand.” Mother Nature replied. “You hold great power.
“Soooo. . . that means we are your grandchildren?” Icey said thoughtfully.
“Yes. . .” Mother Nature said. “Oh, and there is one more thing I have to say before going. Your mothers are in a trance. It is your responsibility to wake them up.”
“And, with that Mother Nature disappeared.” Mist narrated.
“We can all hear you, you know.” Willow told her.
Nearby, Rachel Seer, the quiet but discriptie girl, studied mist and added ‘ narrates things that are strange and absurd and not possible out loud. ‘ and started to draw a detailed drawing of her to go along with the note in her thick notebook.
“ Now, how are we supposed to fix the trance and save the world and and and and and.. “
“ We're just regular girls! “ exclaimed Scarlet.
“ How are we supposed to carry the weight of the world’s future in our arms??? “ Asked a puzzled Luna.
They all fell back, confused and worried, when Misty piped up with the best idea in a century.
“ Why don't we relax, and read as many history books as we can?”
“You know, that is a great idea!” Scarlet exclaimed.
The girls spent the rest of their afternoon reading up on anything and everything.
